Lose broken baby tooth

My son has this baby tooth that was starting to come out since it was a little lose.  The issue is that he was playing around and got hit by a ball in the face.  Making the tooth really lose compared to what it was.  The tooth  also seems chipped to me. Should I worry about this.  I am not sure if I need to take him to the dentist over this lose baby tooth since it was going to come out on it own soon anyway.  Or will there be a problem because it came out sooner then it should?
