Do dental hygienist polish your teeth after a cleaning
My five year old daughter did not get her teeth polished
My whole family has been going to the same dentist for over eight years or so. My daughter goes in to get her teeth cleaning every six months as directed by our dentist. Our dentist would clean her teeth and then polish them up afterwords. Over the past year his office as gotten busier and he got a dental hygienist now that does most of the cleanings.
I was fine with that as long as she did a good job. However, I feel my daughter got the bums rush since she was really much faster at doing the cleaning and she did not polish her teeth afterwords. So I was wondering if the dental hygienists are supposed to polish your teeth after the cleaning or not. Because if she was supposed to have polished my daughter teeth and did not, I will be calling up to complain about this. I do not like feeling like I got ripped off.
