Connecticut when should I add my baby to my dental insurance

I live in Connecticut and would like to know when is the best age to add your child to your current dental plan.  My son is only two month old but I just not sure if  I should go ahead and add him in Jan 2011 when my open enrollment comes up or next Jan 2012 when he is older and will be  starting to see a dentist.
