Choosing the right dentist for a child.

I have no dental insurance right now and I been looking to get some for myself and my four year old.  However the dental insurance plans that I am able to afford does not offer coverages for out of net work providers.  Which would mean I would have to change my daughter dentist and I am not sure how to make sure I picking a good dentist for my daughter.
