Wednesday, Apr. 23rd 2014 10:36 AM

As your baby get older their dental care habits may change a bit.  Here are some tips to make sure your provide the proper dental care.

1) From six to twelve months of age, your baby’s first tooth should appear. You should at that time consult the pediatric dentist for an examination.

2) Make sure to brush your baby’s teeth after each feeding and at bedtime with a small, soft-bristled brush.

3) As the child begins to walk, stay alert of potential dental and/or facial injuries.

4) Try and wean the child from the bottle by his or her first birthday. (If you breastfeeds our child, the World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding for at least two years.)
