Newborn, At what age should I enroll my baby in dental
Dental Insurance Open Enrollment
Question: I am nine months pregnant, I have current dental insurance though my employment but the open enrollment passed. I will not be up again until my child is seven months. I was told that I really do not need to take my child to the dentist until he is two to three years old so having him on the dental policy dose not seem to be an issue. However should I add him anyway at the time of open enrollment or wait until he is older?
Answer: Well first it is suggested by the American Dental Association that a child see a dentist by the time him/her cuts their first tooth or by their first birthday whichever comes first. So adding him on sooner would be a good idea. Even if you choose to wait to take your baby to see the dentist having insurance in place is always a good idea because you never know you may need to see the dentist sooner then you plan too.
